Godspell is a musical based on the Gospel according to St. Matthew.

The songs have become so well-loved that productions of the musical have been staged all over the world. The original Godspell produced a number of hit songs such as 'We Beseech Thee', 'Bless the Lord' and two #1 hit songs with 'Prepare Ye the Way of the Lord' and 'Day By Day'.

The gospel is presented in a warm, humorous manner with wonderful characters and much theatricality.  It is funny, thought provoking, moving and very relevant to even today's sometimes cynical world.

Young Peoples' Theatre is endeavouring to bring a freshness to this production while remaining true to the original concept.  If you are looking for a special outing for your family and friends in the Easter Holidays, 2002 - Godspell is the show for you.
